Temporary Page
A picture is worth a thousand words.
This is a double bed. It’s wood and has drawers on both sides. It’s quite low, and the mattress rests in the frame, where the 2x4s are now. When we came to Florida, we got my ex’s parent’s queen size mattress. To be able to use the larger mattress, someone made a platform for us out of plywood and added the 2x4s to support the platform and mattress. Part of what makes the bed awesome is that it comes almost completely apart. The little bits of tape are because I numbered and lettered all the pieces so I could put them together again. I think that system actually worked quite well. Putting all the screws and hardware into a baggie and taping it to the frame helped too.
This view is from the head of the bed. You can see the side where the drawers go.
Little Oreo explores the new space and discovers that 2x4s are hard to step over with her short little legs.
I just thought this was a cute shot of Oreo with the flower arrangement a neighbor made.
Little Oreo approves. She also approves of not bathing, so her taste is questionable.
